La Paz!
We had to ride on a little boat for 90 minutes to get to our SCUBA spot...Los Islotes, where we were going to swim with sea lions. See the smile on my face? I was so excited.
And then I got in the water. It was so cold! Even with a wet suit I was shivering so bad and I couldn't get my buoyancy right. It had been almost 4 years since the last time we did SCUBA and that was in a hot spring. Way different than the ocean. Do I look terrified in this picture? I made Dave hold my hand the whole time, cause I am a big baby. But I did it. And he still loves me :)That is a sea lion in the corner, swimming by us. They were very friendly. Crazy Mandy was playing with them.
This is the beautiful beach we ate lunch at after the dive. Umm, can we just stay here forever?? It was so beautiful! After we ate the boys went on another dive while us girls stayed up in the warm sun.
Heading into La Paz on a bus. The town was about a 20 minute ride from where the boat docked so they had complimentary shuttles for us. The town wasn't that fabulous...or we just didn't walk far enough. The beaches are beautiful there, though.
A beautiful cactus at the Port of Pichilingue.

MEXICO...Part Cuatro

MEXICO...Part tres
Mazatlan!
This town was not as pretty as Cabo, at least the parts where we went. The men made us walk through yucky parts but we finally found the market. I was on a mission to find some real authentic mexican vanilla. It took some searching to find some and get a good price, but mission accomplished!
On the way to the beach
The beach in Mazatlan. We got there at about 3:30 and people were all packing up and heading home.
We all got some pretty necklaces on the beach.
This little old man drove us back to the boat. We got there just in time, we were the last ones on the boat! I can't believe that there aren't more car accidents, drivers are crazy in Mazatlan!

MEXICO...Part Dos
Cabo!! This was probably my favorite place and I am already trying to talk Dave into returning as soon as we can.
This is the beautiful sunrise outside of Cabo. We are beautiful, too!
We survived the zip lines and had an awesome time. I did run into Mandy and almost killed her...but she is okay now. They also served the best nachos ever. Seriously. I am going to return there just for the nachos!
These are some of my favorite people! After spending the whole week together I think we are still good friends :) This is them riding on a boat because one of them did not want to do something very fun.
And that fun thing is...Parasailing!!!
Back on the boat after sailing through the air. Can you tell we loved it? While up in the air we saw the resort we want to go back to!

MEXICO!!!
Our wonderful friends, Aaron and Mandy, talked us into going on a cruise with them. We planned for months, thinking the week would never come. When it did, we had the greatest week ever! Thanks to our fabulous parents for watching the kiddos at home, you guys are awesome.
This is what we drove through to get to the airport. We were not going to miss that crazy weather! Hello, Mother Nature- it's April! Enough with the snow already!
Here we are boarding the Carnival Spirit in San Diego. Sooo excited!!
We got on the boat as soon as we could so we had time to explore and of course, start eating. Here we are on deck overlooking San Diego.
We won a digital scavenger hunt...but not only did we win, we got the highest score ever! We rock. We also won a trivia contest and were awarded ONE ship on a stick trophy. Great, right? Umm, no. All four of us were on a team and we did not want to share that trophy. So, we spent the rest of the week trying to win trivia again, except our luck ran out after that first day. Finally one of the ladies told us if we looked over her new scavenger hunt she was doing we could get another one. Yay!
This is the first formal night. We had lots of fun dressing up!! Isn't Dave hot?

Out of the Mouth of Andrew...
We have been working with our children on learning the Articles of Faith. (These are short little statements that help us share what we believe with others.) It is important to Dave that the children learn what they mean when they say things like this, instead of just memorizing words that mean nothing to them. I think it's working because this happened in our house the other day:
Kelsi was told to put her folded clothes away but she didn't want to so she pretended not to hear me. I told her that she was in trouble and then I told Andrew that he was also in trouble because he was her sister and if she was in trouble he would be too.
He looked at me in complete shock and said "But it says that men will be punished for his own sins, not his sisters!"
I almost died laughing when that came out of my little boys mouth.
FYI- The 2nd Article of Faith reads: We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
Maybe our children are actually learning something from us!!

Happy Birthday Kayli!
Our sweet Kayli Rose had a birthday! Where has the time gone? When Kelsi was born all the cute old ladies at church told me to cherish every moment because they grow up so fast. I just smiled and thought they were a little crazy- three children later I see the truth in their words. It's hard to believe it has already been a year but on the other hand we can't imagine our family without her!
This is one of my favorite pictures from the hospital. She is only a couple of hours old, so peaceful and so tiny!!
Her little cake :)
Presents! She remembered from Christmas how fun these things can be.
She had been wanting to get at the cake all afternoon...she didn't hesitate at all to dig in. Good girl!
She loved the frosting so much that this morning she got in to the garbage and found some on a cupcake wrapper...yummers! Apparently there is nothing better than frosting on a gymboree tag.

Our December...in Pictures
We had a very busy month at our house. At least that is why I think I am tired all the time. It's can't be because I am getting old! Enjoy our month in pictures...
One very happy boy got to spend the day with his cousin and Grandpa riding on a train...then he got an electric one to bring home!
The kids have been wanting to go bowling so bad since they love wii bowling. We decided that wii bowling is WAY more fun!
One time-out in the bathtub resulted in a much needed nap!
We all had fun opening lots of gifts!
Kayli reminded us on a daily basis that she is getting big and can get into pretty much anything she wants!
The thumb sucking continues...
School Christmas programs are delightful!
Monster babies are not delightful.
We got to play in some snow. Check out Andrew's cool hat!
GNO! Kelsi got to spend the evening with her mommy and Grandma. We went to eat at Olive Garden and then saw The Nutcracker. It was fun and we hope to make it an annual tradition. We also met some reindeer before the show.
Andrew turned 5!!!
We had a blast making this gingerbread house and even more fun eating all the candy off it it! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Urvina!
This box came to our home full of gifts and then the kids played in it for days...thanks again G&G Urvina!
We hope you all had as much fun as we did this holiday season! May 2010 bring you much happiness and joy!!
